Aerosol Contamination Test
The aerosol contamination test method is used to evaluate the microbial tightness of medical or other products in a contaminated air environment. This plays an important role, especially in clinical or hygiene-sensitive environments. For this purpose, the test products are placed in an isolated chamber with a defined air contamination of bacteria in the desired concentration over the desired test period and the penetration of microorganisms is examined.
The test procedure also offers the possibility of carrying out manual handling steps on the devices, e.g. spiking containers, setting tips, taking samples, infusions, etc.
