The core microbiome of the horse’s skin is made up of several representatives of the Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria and Firmicutes. These representatives include Corynebacterium, Macrococccus, Sphingomonas and Pseudomonas species.
Our “horse” microbiome test-standard includes 5 key organisms that are typically found on the skin of horses.
