Animal Microbiome-Tests

Like all living organisms, our pets and farm animals also have microorganisms that have an important protective function on the skin. Compared to humans, animals have a different distribution of apocrine and eccrine glands in their skin due to their fur. In addition, the type of animal’s body hygiene and contact with the environment also play an important role in the specific composition of the skin microbiome. Some microbial species can be found in both humans and animals, while other species are represented individually depending on the animal species. Therefore, for the animal microbiome test standards, we use the lead organisms that are typical for the corresponding animals in their skin microbiome.
